Went to the Soju Korean Kitchen in Soho and besides gorging myself on a mixed meat BBQ (got too greedy to eat to take any pictures!) - I actually ate oysters ... yes they were deep fried but they were still oysters! The idea of eating oysters is a big deal for me, it always has been - I never tried them before, the idea of eating them usually makes me gag.
Last night I decided my palate needed something different so I went for the oysters and they were not all that bad, it was a taste I couldn't link to anything and the crispy batter balanced out the softness of this "fruits de mer" for me. I'm still learning to love oysters but it was a good start for me.
